Informed by a century of counter-culture, collaboration and queer culture, their integrated practice includes digital design, immersive experiences, film making, theatre and live art, often created collaboratively with other artists and in community settings.
Film
Bruk Up Stigma
A film by young people from across urban and rural locations, using spoken word, urban music, and the underrepresented dance form of Bruk Up, to explore mental health. Created by local mental health services and charities for young people in Nottingham and West Cornwall - Trelya, Nottingham CAMHS Mental Health Support Team and Nottingham CYF Project - with New York dance group Bed-Stuy Veterans/The Eternalz, and film producers We the Conspirators.
A selection of films created by Tate Collective Producers will also play on loop throughout the event.
U Studio Festival is developed and delivered by Tate Collective Producers at Tate St Ives. During November 2022 to March 2023, the Tate Collective Producers have worked with artist Tom Stockley and the Tate St Ives Young Peoples Team to develop a festival programme inspired by Barbara Hepworth Art and Life at Tate St Ives.
