This work is a handmade 1:5 scale model of the Foksal Gallery Foundation, an influential contemporary art space in Warsaw. Foksal has been a centre for conceptual art in Poland since it was founded by artists and critics in the mid-1960s. The model is positioned on a mobile table, the form of which derives from the moveable stalls used by street salespeople in the early days of the post-communist economy in Poland. Theoretically the model can be transported, enabling the Foundation to travel beyond the boundaries of its original home.
